I’ve always admired the woman who can wear a gorgeous and scandalously high heel shoes all day long. It’s like a superpower: not everyone has it, but the girls who do are pretty much heroic (and super chic). And on the most important day of your life, you might feel like you need to wear super-stylish heels, even if you really REALLY don’t want to. But let’s face it: you also want to feel comfortable, happy, and beautiful — not nervous about rolling your ankle!
Well, the truth is that you should wear whatever you want on your feet for your wedding, whether it’s stilettos, flats, or nothing at all. But if you’re more like me, the thought of needing to wear a high heel shoes all day can put you into a cold sweat. Flats for brides is a cute and comfy alternative to the traditional high heel shoes. Debating the question of heels versus flats? Well consider these pros to wearing flats:
- Your feet won’t hurt, of course!
- There’s less of a chance you’ll trip or roll your ankle going down the aisle
- Flats are a little more affordable than couture heels
- You’ll be able to wear them again on a daily basis
- They’re great for busting a move on the dance floor
Still thinking about flats? I’ve found a ton of oh-so-cute examples of brides wearing adorable flats at their wedding. You’ll notice that there are some pretty common trends. Glitter, metallic, and blush colored flats all seem to be favorites among brides. However, there are also some colorful and bold shoes in this mix and, on rare occasion, super fun prints (I’d personally love to see more of that trend).
